What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect information about you when you register with us, place an order for our products, or when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, upload an image, provide feedback and participate in competitions.

This may include the following information:  1) Name, 2) Contact information including address and email address and, in some cases, telephone number, 3) recipient names and addresses where you have sent a gift to such recipients, 4) other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers or competitions, 5) information connected with reviews you may leave on our website,

Comments and Reviews

When visitors leave comments or reviews on the site we collect the data shown, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. We may use your comments, reviews or images on our social media platforms and other marketing materials unless you instruct us otherwise.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Who we share your data with

Your personal data is not shared with any other business. Credit card details are encrypted by our 3rd party payment providers and we have no access to them.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission, are required by law to do so or this is required for the provision of our services as detailed above.

How long we retain your data

We generally retain your personal information for a period of 6 years after your last active use of our website (in line with our legal obligation to keep order information for this duration for tax, legal and auditing obligations). If you no longer want us to keep your information you can request that we erase your information. Please note that if you request the erasure of your personal information we may retain some of the personal information as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection.

For users that make an account on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Data Access and Portability: You have the right to request copies of your personal information held us by us.

Objection to Processing and Profiling: You are entitled to require us not to process your personal information for certain specific purposes (including profiling) where such processing is based on legitimate interest. If you object to such processing we will no longer process your personal information for these purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for such processing or such processing is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Our computing equipment is protected by up to date security software.
